58th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics


The 58th annual meeting of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics will be held a the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, FL. The Program for this year's meeting is "Endless Possibilities, through Science, Innovation and Collaboration" and includes three days of lectures, Sunday-Tuesday (October 31st - November 2nd). Factor II, Inc. will be hosting a workshop on "Advances in the Use of Magnetic Retention for Maxillofacial Prostheses and Dentures" on Monday, Nov. 1st, 2010 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Additional Topics Covered: The proper use of acrylic resins in the construction of a magnetically, retained prosthesis, the use of magnets in dentures and obturators (including time devoted to understanding the principals and techniques on bonding magnetic attachments into a silicone appliance), and the new improved Technovent magnetic system.
